Sycamore Rouge Dinner Theater.
This true story is an
original play by KB Saine about the first Civil
Rights Protest in Petersburg, VA, when the
Petersburg Public Library became the center of the
struggle for desegregation. Led by Rev. Wyatt Tee
Walker, protesters walked into the whites-only
section of the library and sat down to read. Their
determination, their willingness to go to jail, and
their courage to fight for their rights drive this
story home.
